
Kaper is a special Girl Scout word for a responsibility within the troop. Each meeting the girls will rotate through and have a special new job or kaper. We have a kaper for each girl at each meeting, but some troops do not have enough kapers and the girls take turns.
Weekly Kapers
©Promise Keeper: Leads the troop in
saying the Girl Scout Promise.
©Grace Leader: Leads the troop in saying grace before snack and assists Snack
Hostess in passing out snacks.
©Snack Hostess: Provides a snack for the troop to share.
©Record Keeper: Takes attendance and awards points for wearing uniform and
bringing dues.
©Germ Buster: Passes Germ-X before snack time.
©Kaper Captain: Updates our Kaper Chart and reads Kapers for next meeting at
closing.
©Troop Treasurer: Collects troop dues, counts them and records them in the book.
©Little Leader: Designated helper for the meeting.
©Princess'
Pal: Hosts our mascot at her house for a week. Brings Princess back along
with a few new journal entries and some photos.
Special Ceremony Kapers
©Flag (or Color) Bearer: Holds the
American flag during a flag ceremony.
©Troop Flag Bearer: Holds the troop flag during a flag ceremony.
©Color Guard: Stand on either side of the flag bearers during a flag ceremony.
©Pledge Leader: Leads the troop in saying the Pledge of Allegiance during the
opening flag ceremony.
