

Tortillas are the traditional form of bread in
Mexico. Try filling your tortilla with some of these sizzling stuffings!

Guacamole
2 ripe avocados
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tomato
1 green onion
3 tablespoons sour cream
pinch of salt and chili pepper
Chop up the green onion. Peel and
chop the tomato. Cut the avocados in half, take out the seeds.
Scoop the avocado meat out of the shell and mix all the ingredients
together, mashing them with a fork.

Refritos
(Refried Beans)
16 ounce can red kidney beans
1 large onion
1-2 cloves garlic
2 1/2 tablespoons butter
Pinch of chili powder
Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, and fry the onion and
garlic gently for five minutes. Mash the beans and add to the
mixture with the pepper. Cook until heated all the way through.

Salsa
1 small can tomatoes
1 small onion
hot chili powder to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
pinch of sugar
pinch of salt and pepper
Peel and chop the onion then mix with other
ingredients.
