One Pot Meals
When cooking over charcoal or wood fires, soap the outside of your pot for easier cleaning.
Plan for One-Pot Meals (Serves 12)
Then add ingredients to make the meal you want.
Ranch Style Beans
Chicken Hotdish (Serves 25)
1 box (14 oz.) Minute Rice
Mix all ingredients. Cook 20-30 minutes until rice is tender.
Beany-Weanies (Serves 30)
8 cans baked beans (1 lb. 5 oz.)
Mix together and heat thoroughly.
Sausage and Rice (Serves 30)
4 lbs. pork sausage (can use
hamburger or half and half)
Brown all ingredients together. Drain off some of the fat.
Cover and cook until rice is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Taco Stew (Serves 30)
8 cans chili without beans
Warm the chili. Dice tomatoes, shred lettuce. Each person puts a handful of Fritos on their plate, tops with a spoonful of chili. Sprinkle lettuce, tomato, and cheese on top as desired.
Calamity (Serves 12)
1 lb. bacon
Brown the bacon. Remove from pan and crumble. Brown the hash browns in bacon grease. Lightly beat the eggs, add to potatoes. Cook until eggs are done. Add crumbled bacon. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired. This is a great breakfast! Can be cooked in a skillet or pot.
