Our Mathematics program in grade 3 will open many new doors for students.  We will begin tackling the processes of mulitplcation and division as well as building on some of our second grade skills including money, problem solving and geometry.

     Students will have daily assignments from their text book for math.  We will also be working on projects from the Harcourt school online program.  Daily book assigments must be completed on notebook paper (wide lined) and in pencil.  We will begin heavily focusing on neatness in grade 3 and our math assigments will be a big part of this.

     Students will be learning multiplcation facts from 0-12 in grade 3.  We will begin a program called Frog Pond Facts in late fall where the students' frogs move from lily pad to lily pad according to what facts set they are on.  This is a fun way to track student progress and since there is no "prize" for finishing first, there is no race.  Students will be rewarded when moving from one level to the next, and are encouraged as a class.
