Eggshell Chalk
Supplies:
5 eggshells
1 teaspoon of flour
1 teaspoon of very hot water
food coloring
paper towels
Directions:
Crack open eggs
and discard insides. Wash thoroughly in a pot with hot, soapy water. Drain
water. Let dry. Dump eggshells into a bowl, grinding them into a powder
and picking out large pieces. In another bowl, mix together the flower and
hot water. Add a tablespoon of the eggshell mixture and mix together
forming a paste. Add desired amount of food coloring, blending well. Shape
powder mixture into chalk sticks. Use strips of paper towels to roll the
chalk up in. Dry for 3 days until firm. Take out of paper towel. Use chalk
on sidewalks. Not for chalk boards! Have fun! |
